DAY 24—A Redemption That Is Full
You’ve heard my story of the old grandmother who died and left her old and well-used Bible for her grand-daughter to find. Through out the Book, beside verse after verse, were written the letters “T” and “P.” The granddaughter was puzzled until she found someone who knew the old woman well. That one said, “Oh, that’s what she placed beside the verses that she had “Tried” and “Proved.” That’s a call to you and me. Oh, how much waits for us today in God’s Word! It waits to be tested and proved in our own lives.
I Corinthians 1:30—But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. NIrV—Because of what God has done, you belong to Christ Jesus. He has become God's wisdom for us. He makes us right with God. He makes us holy and sets us free.
Colossians 2:9,10—For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the Head of all principality and power: NIrV—God's whole nature is living in Christ in human form. Because you belong to Christ, you have everything you need. He is the ruler over every power and authority.
II Corinthians 5:17—Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.NIrV—Anyone who believes in Christ is a new creation. The old is gone! The new has come!
Joshua 23:14b—. . .and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. NIrV—Now I'm about to die, just as everyone else on earth does. The Lord your God has kept all of the good promises he gave you. Every one of them has come true. Not one has failed to come true. And you know that with all your heart and soul.
LORD, my mind cannot understand all that is mine in Christ. But, my heart is ready to believe, and to receive it all. I open myself to the wisdom that is in Him. I am ready to live in the righteousness He gives. He is my healing, my strength, my joy. Oh, He is my life!
